2014 James W. Freston Conference — Therapeutic Innovations in Microbiome Research and Technology: A Further Look into Fecal Microbiota Transplantation

Join international experts to examine how fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has reached innovative heights as well as prompted more aggressive research in utilizing gut microbiota to treat various GI disorders. Attendees will address issues regarding translational studies of FMT, including its safety and efficacy in the clinical setting. Investigators will be able to explore how FMT impacts the treatment of C. difficile infection, IBD, and whether FMT has the potential to serve as a remedy for more prevalent diseases such as obesity.

Share your microbiome research in a small, relaxed environment and received valuable feedback from the expert faculty and your peers.

Student, trainee and junior faculty attendees are encouraged to submit an abstract for poster presentation to Jamie Parreco at jparreco@gastro.org. Those who submit an abstract for poster presentation will be notified on or before Thursday, July 17, 2014, regarding the status of their abstract.

Posters will be presented on Saturday, Aug. 16, during the scheduled wine and cheese reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
